Our Process
Our Process
Hi, it’s Marla. Next, I would like to acquaint you with our planning process.
The 1st step starts with this website. You may want to become familiar with our firm before you meet with us. Please take the time to evaluate it, and see for yourself the planning and investment strategies that we use.
The 2nd step is to schedule your initial one-hour introductory appointment. This first meeting will give you the opportunity to meet us, and ask any questions you might have. Ron will walk you through the planning techniques our firm will utilize in the design of your retirement plan. This meeting is strictly informational and is an opportunity to determine if our firm is a good fit for you.
If you decide to proceed –
The 3rd step is to engage our services and complete our planning and risk tolerance questionnaires. After these forms are completed, we will review your information and start the design of your plan. Our plan design process can take several weeks since we are obsessively meticulous about accuracy. We will make sure that your plan meets the compliance and suitability standards set forth by the regulators.
The 4th step is the presentation. At this meeting, we will spend as much time as you need to present our recommendations in the style that best suits you. If you are the analytical type, we will have plenty of charts, graphs, and timelines. On the other hand, if you want to get right to the point we can present your plan on our big video screen, with a copy to take with you.
The 5th step is the implementation phase when we will complete all the necessary forms to establish the investment and insurance vehicles for your plan. It is at this time when the compliance people will conduct the final suitability review to make sure all the I’s are dotted, the T’s are crossed, and your plan meets the regulatory standards.
We believe having qualified professionals on your planning team is important. Our firm networks with many of the top tax/estate attorneys and, CPA’s in South-eastern Michigan. Either we can work with your attorney and accountant, or we can refer you to professionals who will not charge you for the first “get to know you” meeting.
Thank you for visiting us and for your time!
